Pearl Dragon

I'm really fascinated with the idea of 'gemstone dragons'. It's a creature from Dungeons & Dragons, recently they've been re-imagined as psychic entities which have de-evolved, losing scales and wings as a crystalline material grows out of their body.

I love the organic, liquid like shapes of pearl mass inside clams and thought this would be perfect for one of those dragons.

On the technical side, I've constructed this creature from tiger and hairless cat anatomy, supplementing the colors from squids and sharks.

As far as fantasy illustrations go, I'm pretty happy with my improvement.
